One Team, Both Seasons

Complete packages — nothing left for you to figure out

A proper opening sets your water up for a clean, easy summer; a proper closing protects your pool and equipment through a Hudson Valley winter. We've been doing both for 45 years, and every package is priced up front and competitively.

Open in spring, swim all summer, close before the freeze — we keep the same crew on your pool through the whole cycle, so nothing gets missed between seasons.

Good to Know

Opening & closing FAQs

When should I open my pool?

In the Hudson Valley, most pools open in April or May once nighttime temperatures stay consistently warm. Booking early matters — spring calendars fill quickly, and opening sooner keeps algae from getting a head start.

When should I close it?

Closings run in fall, before the first hard freeze. Waiting too long risks freeze damage to plumbing and equipment, so we recommend scheduling once the swim season winds down in September or October.

Do I need to be home?

No — as long as we have access to the pool, equipment, and water/power, we can complete the opening or closing whether or not you are home.

Why is the first vacuum done a few days later?

After an opening, the water needs a couple of days of filtration to clear before we can see and vacuum the bottom properly. That initial vacuum is billed at $110/hr, performed 2–3 days after the opening.
